WTH does that gibberish even mean?

It's kind of like the adage "If you have ask how much it costs, you can't afford it".

If you have to ask what it means, you're too old.

It would take me too long to read that. I felt like i was in kindergarden with the see Jack run books. see ... Jack ... run. ... Run ... Jack ... run.

basically trying to translate and read on the fly. sloooowly.

But I don't know what the word 'neck' means. Is it literally a neck or something else?

I don't know if anyone has read any text in 'old english' but its reminded me of the same thing, its English, but the words mean different things, the spelling is different, the letters represent different sounds.

No clue, but I'm concerned that maybe the person who wrote that had a stroke.

What worries me is that this is a lot more Millennial and Reddit than it is Gen Z.

Get your generations straight, Boomer. Gee.

EDITED: Okay, what really worries me, is that I understand it effortlessly. I don't know where the cutoff age is, but for the record, I'll be 35 next week.

I know, right? Once I got my head in the game I could read it no prob.

(for the record, I turned 65 last August)

I have kids, so no problem reading it.  It's just a joke and I doubt there's any more of it unless somebody on Tumblr with way too much time on their hands decided to hash out much of the rest of it.

I'm 55, so yeah.  Old enough to know better, but dumb enough to try doing it anyway.  Because standard American English (which is what I'm guessing that is supposed to mimic) is to tough to write/type/print?

I asked my son to read that and let me know if he understood that.  He told me "no".  He's 28, so...    :icon_crazy:

FWIW- He spends a lot more time online than I do and he's smarticles- He's an EdM degreed HS level teacher.

@Blast-  All my classes were "General" ed as far as English, Math and Science.  Don't ever recall being required to read A Clockwork Orange.  I was more interested in Auto Shop and Welding anyway.  I do remember the computer class they offered my Sr. year used the old punch cards for programming.

Huh, we had to read it in my junior year (1972-3) but I'd already read it by then.  I think I read it on my own when I found it in my mother's collection of books.  I was probably12, maybe 13?

Likely explains an awful lot about how I turned out this way.  :-X

I went to a HS that was literally in the middle of a corn field, 5 miles out of town.  It was not a stellar hub of higher knowledge education, 75% of the school was farm kids...  they didn't need no culture, just know how to plant and harvest the crops.

The first book/novel I read from my mom's collection was Coma.  Otherwise, I was in to reading Louis Lamour books, as my grandfather had the whole Sackett collection.  Good stuff, I should revist those.
