Ever (Zombiepreparation)

(Ongoing additions)

Clear: Symptom free.

Crashed: Too late, you're now down completely and in bed again. (often having one or more debilitating symptoms, and more may be right behind) This can last for hours, sometimes days.

Crashing: Time to stop everything.  STOP.  You've hit your wall.

Dysautomonia: A disorder of the autonomic nervous system. Disease experts say it has become increasingly clear that an autoimmune response, in which antibodies attack the body's own healthy cells and tissue, plays an important role in some long-COVID cases.

ME/CFS: Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome.
-  a serious, long-term illness that affects many body systems. People with ME/CFS are often not able to do their usual activities. At times, ME/CFS may confine them to bed. People with ME/CFS have severe fatigue and sleep problems. While myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and Long COVID are not the same disease, they appear to have features of overlapping biological and symptomatic presentations.

PEM: Post-exertional malaise (PEM), sometimes referred to as post-exertional symptom exacerbation (PESE)
- a worsening of chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS)  [u±]or Long COVID symptoms[/u] that occurs after exertion.  Long-COVID PEM can be physical, mental, and emotional exertion.  Physical can include laundry, dishes, shopping, etc., as well as exercise of any sort. Mental exertion can include thinking, reading, TV, listening to podcasts or music, conversations, texting, planning, working on your computer., etc. Emotional exertions includes all emotions; positive as well as negative, worrying, and all points inbetween.

POTS: Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.
- dizziness, fainting, fatigue, rapid heart rate, brain fog. These symptoms have become associated with patients suffering from Long COVID – the lasting effects of an infection from the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. In fact, symptoms cross over so much that POTS may be over-diagnosed in patients after COVID infection while some true POTS diagnoses are being missed.

TBI: Traumatic brain injury. Usually results from a violent blow or jolt to the head (or even body). Mild TBI may affect brain cells temporarily, more-serious can result in long-term complications. TBI can have wide-ranging effects. Some signs or symptoms may appear immediately after the event, while others may appear days or weeks later. Emerging data suggests a possiblility of symptoms and coping skills cross over with Long COVID.
