Sunday I was out cleaning my pool, and I was really sweating. [there's little to no exertion to that job] When I was done I jumped in. Pool was 90 degrees.  :rolleyes1:  Outside temp read 92 degrees.

I thought to myself that doesn't seem right, feels hotter. So checked my weather app. It said 54% humidity and 92 degrees, SO FEELS LIKE 99 DEGREES!

AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON WETBULBs! [Black is death, Red is slow death] I was in the black.

I did find this Acclimated/Unacclimated table that explains a lot of my 'in the black' work for hours and not dying. Must be acclimatized.

I'm in the Phillipines for two months. Possibly forever. It's hot as balls and humid as (blank)! Lol. But it's also the rainy season. So every other day or so a storm rolls thru. It rains and blows and things cool off a bit. Still hot as balls. But a nice respite.

But still beautiful in a gloomy day!

Currently 86°F here in my area. Got a bit of a breeze coming through for the next couple days, but it won't last long or really do much to cool things down.

Anianna

97⁰F here and expecting triple digits shortly.  Our upstairs heat pump is busted and awaiting parts, so it's as hot up there as it is outside and our downstairs unit can't reach setpoint under these conditions, so we're sitting at 77⁰F-80⁰F inside.

91 degrees here with around 60% humidity.
It is miserable.
I have been informed by both my cardiac rehab nurse and local PD (2 doors down from me) that if I get too hot and it is impacting my health, to feel free to come to the hospital (per my nurse) and I can hang out/sleep there, OR I can walk over to the police station and hang out/sleep there. Town Hall folks are considering opening the school for elderly or medically compromised people in the community.

Temperature is dropping like a rock right now.
Currently, 54 degrees!
I'll be able to sleep tonight!
Tomorrow night it is supposed to drop into the high 40s...decent sleeping weather!
Still...this is just gonna be a brief respite until July comes in and bitch slaps us.
I'm already making plans with friends to go to the local waterfall (Beaver Brook Falls) which is a little over a mile away when the really hot weather hits. Yes, we stand under the waterfall.
Yes, it feels wonderful!

I only keep the AC under 78 on weekends and at night. I've put the mylar bubble wrap type insulation panels up in my bedroom windows with blackout curtains on top of them and my room is still almost 80. The exterior facing walls of my walk in closet are 84F while the attic hatch in the bedroom is reading at 96F during the day. I'm wondering if I should get a one room AC unit and stop using the central unit during the week to cut back on power. I'm in the West Valley in AZ.

Try an old trick... put awnings on your windows to shade them from the mid-day heat.  That should reduce the temps quite a bit.

Do you have an attic fan?  Is it working?  Is it sized correctly?

I wish I could do those things, but alas I rent. Changed apartments at the end of last year to a safer location closer to work. Management is great, but I can't do those kinds of modifications to my own unit. If it was my own place, I'd want cross ventilation and at least basic insulation for the attic and thermal tinting for the windows. I loved the last place we had in Phoenix because it had a big back porch that covered the entire living area and shielded it from the sun year round. Meanwhile my parents' place has big trees shielding most of the house from direct sun.

Is there a tenants association? If so, suggest it through them as a way to reduce HVAC maintenance costs.

Ah well...  If I move to Arizona, we'll have to find someplace with a guest house that I can rent to you.
