@12_Gauge_Chimp I see you guys will likely get significant snow this coming week.  BlueHawk loves snow, and those tires he's wearing are perfect for it.  You probably won't even need 4x4 but put some weight in the back if you can.

For the rest of y'all. Virginia and northward should get some heavy snow this weekend and next weekend, with Virginia also taking a lot of freezing rain so expect power outages.  You northerners know how to handle this so enjoy the snow.

Later today there's a strong chance of severe weather from east Texas through the Gulf states, including freezing rain and possible tornados.

If we get any snow, it probably won't stick around very long since the ground's still too warm for it.

Temps have been hovering in the 60s and occasional mid-70s for the last couple weeks. Had a minor cold front move through last week, but it didn't drop temperatures down too much.

You need to watch this and keep an eye on your area, Chimp.  Oh, and BlueHawk does have a block heater installed but you should never need it.  Only time I ever used it was up in Montana and the Dakotas when it was -20 for a week.

I'll definitely keep my eye on the weather. If it snows, I'm for sure not going anywhere.

Holy crap!  I forgot to go buy bread, eggs, and milk for this storm!  I should be ashamed to call myself a prepper.  How can I possibly make French Toast now to appease the winter storm deities?

Well, it has begun.  We'll see how it goes.  Mr. Anianna is up all night on storm duty.  He's annoyed that the districts have been reporting their flurries throughout the day.  😂

Phone says 28 and some wind here, can hear it howl every so often. Local weather says low side 4 inches high side 12 inches. They changed it to 6 to 12 A bit ago. Work tomorrow, well I bought the work laptop home so I can work from home. I might have to take a drive during lunch just to test the truck in a decent snow , see how it pro forms.

Just as an FYI, those path lights in the last picture are 15" tall, so about 7.5" up to where the lighted part starts.  Based on that, looks like we got about 6.5", with more on the way.

I got maybe 4 inches but it's still falling so total should go up.

We're having a weird winter here in Michigan - our total snowfall this winter has been less than 2 inches!  My parents in Ohio have gotten more snow than I have, but this storm is going south of them as well.  The 10 day forecast here doesn't have much more than a few flurries in it.

We got about 6 inches of snow, .01 inches of sleet, and a crap-ton of rain. I'm surprised there is still snow outside. It got up to 41 degrees this morning with heavy rain. Had to go out and get some propane for our backup heaters today. The roads were mostly clear. Looking at maybe another inch of snow tonight, but the radar is telling a different story.

We dodged most of the bad stuff, but the drop in temps behind the rain is gonna freeze the roads back tonight. Lexington, KY got hammered with ice and sleet. Power is out for thousands of power customers in the area, but we only lost power for a few seconds last night. Good luck for the Darkaxel family.

Anianna

Looked to be about 4"-6" here last night, but it's melting pretty quickly.  There was only a little bit sticking on roads last night and they're pretty clear now.  NoVA got it worse this time.

Middle of this week it's supposed to get down to around 40-ish and then back up to around 50 to 60 degrees.

If any snow falls here, it'll likely just melt before it has a chance to stick.

That said, Ercot issued a statement asking Texans to conserve electricity. Pretty much the same release they put out every year.
